Tourism in Palma
A little further away from the city you will also find some very interesting bays to rest in.
The beach is very close to the city and to the airport, and nearby is also a green area at the heart of the beach where you can walk, go bike or horse riding, enjoying the forests which surround the area.
The beach of Palma is covered with fine white sand, is 6 kilometers long and has a width of 40 meters. It is a real paradise that provides everything necessary for tourism, and is therefore worthy of the EUs Blue Flag. The water can be enjoyed in each season given the wonderful temperatures on the Balearic Islands all year round.
There is also no scope for boredom. You can enjoy all kind of water sports (windsurfing, sailing, etc) , the weekly street market, visiting Palma in the tourist train, not to mention the wide range of discotheques and clubs, which animate the warm nights of the island. Most of the nightlife is found in La Lonja, the most popular area.
If you want to visit places of cultural interest in Palma you should include the following: the Castle of Bellver, the March Palace, the Foundation of "La Caixa" and the Arab baths, to name just a few.
