Tourism in Mojacar
You can visit the Macenas Beach, where you will find the tower which has given the name to the beach and was built as a battery of defense during the reign of Charles III. Among other things in Mojácar you can enjoy trekking, hiking, biking... throughout the year, as the temperatures are very mild.
You also have to visit archaeological places, such as El Argar or the Cerro del Hacho, visiting natural places and contiguous villages with the same charm.
From the viewpoint of the Plaza Nueva we can see the Valley of the Pyramids and the area of Old Mojácar, and in the same place is also the Hermitage of Sorrows dated from the eighteenth century, the Arab cemetery, the old Jewish quarter and the historical fountain of the twelve Mora Caños from the epoch of the Catholic Monarchs, those are other places we should not miss.
In August you can enjoy the feast of the patron in the village of St. Augustine, where they celebrate the traditional tape horse race, which are embroidered by single women of the village.
Although Mojácar is a typical seaside village, it does not get that much tourism as other areas, it doesnt have discos or other places where to go out in the night, you can visit the beach bars and restaurants, but for the night life you are required to go to Almería because from this aspect the village is very quiet and the nights are quiet despite the tourists.
